Why should I participate?

• Research shows that hungry children have difficulty learning.
• Currently 644 LPS elementary students receive weekly food filled backpacks. The need is great as there are 6,504 elementary students who qualify for free/reduced lunch.
• Lancaster County census figures: over 7,000 children under age 18 living in poverty.
• Each backpack provides for approximately 5-10 meals.
